Galvanized steel pipe is made of carbon steel pipe substrate with a protective zinc layer coated on the surface, also known as galvanized welded pipe or galvanized fluid pipe. The zinc layer blocks the erosion of steel by moisture, oxygen and corrosive media, effectively solving the problem of easy rust and short service life of ordinary steel pipes. 2.1 Hot-dip Galvanized Steel Pipe

Production process: Rust removal of raw pipe → Hot dipping in molten zinc solution → Passivation treatment → Straightening, inspection and packaging. Coating structure: Composed of pure zinc layer and zinc-iron alloy layer with firm adhesion and uniform thickness. Advantages: Excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and good durability under sun and rain. It can serve for a long time in outdoor, buried and humid environments. Application: Fire protection pipelines, water supply and drainage pipes, gas transmission pipelines, municipal pipe networks, greenhouse frames, guardrails and other formal engineering projects.

2.2 Electro-galvanized Steel Pipe (Cold-galvanized Steel Pipe)

Zinc is deposited on the pipe surface through electrolysis. The zinc layer is thin with poor adhesion. Features: Bright appearance yet weak corrosion resistance; the coating is easy to peel off and the pipe tends to rust after long-term use. Current situation: It is restricted or prohibited in key projects such as fire protection, water supply and municipal engineering in China.
